Copywriting and tone of voice for Wilby’s Coffee Co.

Wilby’s Coffee Co. is an independent online coffee retailer offering some of the most sumptuous blends from around the world. As a new startup, Wilby’s wanted a tone of voice that cut through. Made people smile and nod, and think “this brand is cool, I want to buy from them, and keep buying from them.”

That’s where I came in.

I worked closely with the founder and owner of Wilby’s to develop a tone of voice that worked across their website, product packaging, direct mail, order comms, social media and newsletters.

I wanted storytelling to play a huge part in their communications - each product description telling a tale, relating to the part of the world the coffee is from and the flavours of the roasts.
